Founder and President
Matthew has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. He holds numerous patents in the field of lyophilization, and continues to develop new technologies within the industry. As founder, he has overseen the growth of LSNE over the last 20 years from a small start-up contract manufacturing organization into a recognized leader in the field. Matt studied Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Chief Operating Officer
Shawn has over thirty years of experience combining process engineering with project management to direct the development and manufacture of aseptically processed pharmaceuticals, cell-based biologics and medical devices. Most recently he was the Director of Facilities and Engineering at Organogenesis, Inc. He also led Operations for a competing pharmaceutical contract manufacturing organization, and prior to that was President and Chief Executive Officer of Arbios Systems, Inc. Shawn holds several patents and has authored over 25 publications. He received his M.S. degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Massachusetts and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Northeastern University.
Chief Financial Officer
Joe leads the Finance group and serves as the Secretary and Treasurer for LSNE. He has over 25 years of professional experience working with and in finance organizations. More than half of that time was focused on the life sciences industry; during the remaining years he was a consultant and auditor. Before joining LSNE, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Advion, Inc.. Prior to that, he advised chief financial officers as a senior manager for BearingPoint Inc. (formally KPMG Consulting) within the World Class Finance group and worked in the Audit practice at KPMG LLP. His background includes mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity fund raising, debt issuances, reporting, system implementations, business development, financial & business strategic planning, product launches, patent management, global operations and restructurings. Joe earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Vice President of Quality & Regulatory
Tom has direct oversight of all quality assurance, quality control, analytical development and regulatory affairs across all of LSNE’s operations. He has over twenty years of experience in drug development, quality and regulatory roles, with the last decade+ focused on aseptically processed pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Prior to joining LSNE in 2014, he was Sr. Director of Quality for Aseptic Services at AMRI–Burlington, where he led successful remediation efforts. Before that he held development and quality positions of increasing responsibility at AMAG Pharmaceuticals, CombinatoRx and Praecis Pharmaceuticals. Tom received his B.A. degree in Chemistry from The College of the Holy Cross.
Vice President of Operations
With more than seventeen years of experience at LSNE, Aimee has direct responsibility for the operations, validation, facilities and project management group across our numerous contract manufacturing facilities. She brings together knowledge of industry practices, regulations, quality and customer service to ensure the successful execution of all pharmaceutical and medical devices projects. She holds a number of patents for medical devices and received a B.S. in Biology from the University of New Hampshire.
Vice President of Operations
Damon joined LSNE in 2006, coinciding with the addition of sterile fill finish capabilities. He is responsible for site operations, engineering, metrology, materials handling, visual inspection/packaging and labeling. He has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience within operations and quality groups. Before joining LSNE, Damon managed the production of early stage autologous cellular cancer vaccines at Agenus (Antigenics), and prior to that oversaw quality for a portfolio of globally manufactured commercial parenteral products for Pharmalucence (A Sun Pharma Company). He is a Certified Project Manager, and received his B.S. degree in Biology from St. Anselm College.
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Christine joined LSNE in 2010 to support the addition of the fill finish and process development site located in Bedford, NH. She is responsible for the sales and marketing activities for all manufacturing sites. Christine has 15 years of experience in sales, specializing in the contract manufacturing sales to support parenteral injectable products. Before joining LSNE, Christine was an Account Manager at Althea Technologies where she was responsible for fill finish sales in the Northeast. She received a B.S. in Biology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
